What do we offer at the Saudi Mining Polytechnic?<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

The Training Department at the Saudi Mining Polytechnic (SMP) undertakes a set of responsibilities to achieve the Institute\u2019s objectives related to preparing, training and qualifying Saudi youth to join the labor market in the mining sector in companies affiliated with the Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma\u2019aden), and other similar contractors and companies throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

The Training Department\u2019s responsibilities include developing trainee recruitment plans, determining admission requirements for trainees, and determining the criteria for selecting and sorting trainees. It is also responsible for the registration process and implementation of the orientation program. In addition, it develops curricula and conducts evaluation according to the needs of the recruitment companies in the mining sector. It also manages training and evaluates its results and outcomes. Furthermore, it sets training hours for all trainees according to hiring companies. Moreover, it issues the necessary forms and letters that trainees need for the relevant authorities. The Training Department also develops the training manual which includes the policies, rules, regulations and procedures followed within the training operation at the institute. It also ensures the provision of trainees and trainers\u2019 uniforms, transportation, accommodation, medical insurance, books and academic supplies, subsidized daily meals, as well as providing academic and behavioral counseling services to help trainees adapt and make progress in the training program. Further, it designs and manages evaluation tests in a way that suits the changing needs of the mining sector and runs programs to educate trainees about safety. It has also established a student council for trainees to share their ideas, concerns and views with management.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
