Basics of electrical appliance maintenance

Overview

This course explains the principles and basics of maintaining electrical appliances. It also includes a study of the main types of electrical drawings, diagrams, and symbols, in addition to identifying the applications and motors of alternating current and direct current, and the basic types and operations of transformers, the power distribution system, motor-operated valves, and emergency power supply equipment.

Course Description

This module will state the principles and fundamentals of Electricity. Include the main types of electrical drawings, diagrams, and symbols. Identify the AC and DC motors and applications. It will also identify the basic types and operations of transformers, power distribution SYSTEMS, MOTOR-OPERATED valves, and emergency power supply Equipment.

Electrical engineers, electrical technicians.

Learning Outcomes

• Provide the trainees WITH basic knowledge and understanding the basic principles of electricity, types of electrical drawings & symbols, AND types and applications of AC/DC motors.
• Motor Operated Valves, Basic PLC operation, transformers, power distribution system, and identify the basic equipment that IS being used in the mining industry.
